MG100DFX and New MG4 Series

Does anyone know if there are significant differences in the sound and quality between the MG100DFX (I have one) and the new MG4 101 or 102 that are on the market now?

What "improvements" have been made in the new design?

I ABed the MG30s and the new ones were much better sounding than the old ones. They also can be fully programmed. Perhaps your best option is to compare them in the store.

Re: MG100DFX and New MG4 Series

Ive tried the 30W and 50W versions. My impression is that they have significantly improved the low/medium gain crunch sounds - much less fizzy than before, plus all the programming stuff.

But I wouldnt suggest spending $ upgrading from an old model to a new model however, since a pedal or two up front could achieve similar tonal results. Better to hold out for something better overall.

A silly question:
are the MG 50, 30 and below amps the same as before?

oh yes, there's a D that's missing!
Are they any good for real, as practice amps?

oh well I'm not willing to buy one, I usually use my GT-10 in computer monitors for practice.
But some people may like to hae one to fool around or study at home at speech volume!
