any mods for avt150 channels

Looking for mods for the low volume acoustic simulator channel on a avt150hx to make it closer to the reg clean channel with a little higher gain pot response instead of the top tone pot and remove the simulated voicing in this section. because it just seems to be a worthless toy for home use to me and a waste of space that could be better utilized for something usable.

Re: any mods for avt150 channels

I dont know how to mod it, but I did play with it briefly. I strikes me that the main thing limiting getting any kind of acoustic tone out of an electric guitar amp is the speakers, which cant deal with frequencies higher than about 5 -6 kHz. I sometimes use piezo pickups, either on an acoustic or built into my Strat, and to get them sounding good, a couple of piezo tweeters across the main speaker adds that high-end zing that makes it sound credible. Maybe that could help the AVT acoustic sim too.

Id also be interested in the schematic - I might see something, and Ill pm you my email

John
