Black stuff on my SL-X pcb -nothing can stop it!!!

Hi all,

Don't know if you've seen my other post but I'm in the middle of cleaning up my SL-X 2500.

Today I cleaned the switches and tube sockets but while I was doing this I noticed some strange black rubbery blobby stuff on the PCB behind the front panel. It's only next to what look like small capacitors to me. Please don't tell me this is because they've all leaked and I need to change them.

I tried to add a photo - I hope it works.

Looks like some goop to hold them to the the PC board and keep them from vibrating/vibrating and breaking their solder joints.
