Re: mg10cd cd input?
Thats one feature on the MG series I would do without.
With mine, the CD input is loud enough, but if Im using the onboard distortion for the guitar, then the audio-source is also dirty, and sounds like crap. Also, my "emulated-out" doesnt work properly. I cant patch it to a regular PA or board channel. Only a hot aux channel on certain PAs will produce any sound. I owned the amp for over a year before I found this out (when I tried it at a rehearsal), by that time the factory warranty was up and I was S.O.L. But I still like the amp for what it is as a loud little practice amp. |

Re: mg10cd cd input?
it has a good tone. i was comparing it to a beringer od100, this is a boss os2 clone. (overdrive and distortion in one pedal) the marshall wins hands down. the clean too is good. pumping the pod through it adds some serious variation. i use it through the clean channel only like this as the tones from the pod win over the marshall.
the pod manual says if you have a "cd input" put the pod through that but it does not seem to go up with the volume control. putting the pod through the guitar input "stacks" 2 pre amps and changes the tone? anyway it is a shame i can't do it that other way. i will be getting some kind of tube amp by christmas but the marshall is cool till then. |
