solid state Marshall 75 reverb with a drake transfomer?
I just purchased a mid 1980's Marshall 75 Reverb. This is a solid state amp with channel switching and came stock with a 150 watt celestion sidewinder speaker. It has a lot of the same features as the 100 watt Mosfet head and is hella loud. The weird thing is that it has a drake transformer -- the sticker on it states: 784 -352/5. Has anybody heard about Marshall using drake transformers on solid state amps?

Re: solid state Marshall 75 reverb with a drake transfomer?
LOL! That 75w Reverb was my first amp. I had it for the longest time. I had a problem with it and it took the speaker with it. I think I replaced it with a V30.
Good memories. It had drake trannies too. |
