boosting JCM-900 4100

first of all, I appolrgize possible writing errors... I´m from finland and my English is totally rusted, busted and what not...
I bought while ago JCM-900 Hi-gain dual reverb and I have a big problem with boosting it. All distortions seems not to work as I want them to work. I´ve been boosting it up with boss GE-7 and coloured up the sound with chorus and
I changed The pre-amp tubes into Tung-Sol and two electro harmonics and those gave me some more gain, but I want more and I need help.
What kind of boosting methods do you use?

Did this make any sense...
