im going to start with the JMP 50 that i have,i have no clue what year it is.model 1987 4 input bigger logo..the on off and standby are the toggle style not the plastic ones.i phoned marshall to find out and i was told by the tech that he was not sure..he said the larger logo did not start till 76,i would just like to pin point the year.

Hey man, Check out the serial number on the back of the amp, there should be a letter among all of the numbers, that indicates what the year of the amp is. Heres a list of the letters and their corresponding years..



A 1969-70
C 1971
D 1972
E 1973
F 1974
G 1975
H 1976
J 1977
K 1978
L 1979
M 1980
N 1981
P 1982
R 1983
S 1984
T 1985
U 1986
V 1987
W 1988
X 1989
Y 1990
Z 1991-92

yea i read your post on kents thread..thanks alote...its a 78..you would think the tech i spoke with at marshall would know...glad i found this forum..thanks
