Re: Deep Purple
Ask Dawk. He has maintained Deep Purple's guitars, organs, and sound equipment since '72. Somewhere in his forum he said that Ritchie uses a Vox amp through his Majors. Majors will not take effects in front of them. They will get the "Smoke on the Water" syndrome. They blow up in smoke. They were designed to take clean signals only and be very loud. Dawk also worked on guitars and sound equipment for Tony Iommi, Bruce Springsteen, and is currently working for Manowar.
