Marshall Gold Finish?

Can anyone tell me what marshall use on the inside of their amps, on the metal plating i mean, not the strong gold paint on the front and back panels, but on the inside around the tubes.

Re: Marshall Gold Finish?

Are you inquiring about the light goldish color chasis? It is probably nickle plating...as customary for a lot of electrical hardware.

Yeah the finish around the tubes on the chassis, i know its not nickel plating. I phoned up the marshall spares department and they told me it was lacquer. I just have no idea where to get that colour lacquer. Might just stick to clear lacquer.

Re: Marshall Gold Finish?

The gold finish appears to me to be CAD plating, used on carburetors and the like in vintage autos. You can get a spray-bomb kit from an auto refinisher supply store such as Eastwood. Good Luck
