I would estimate the head to be in the 1,850 to 1,975 range. Like most other signatures in the 100w range. I have not seen it yet in the stores around Toronto or in the on-line community.

A silver/alum dome speaker would stretch the RR tone your looking for. I think he uses a late 60's altec 417. I have a pair of jensen that sounds pretty similar to it thou I'm using it to express the sound of the early van halen with a super lead. I dont know if eddie combines the speaker with it but it just sounds like it. Anyways, I would start with the speaker first. You'll hear the difference. Night and Day.

If youre talking about the altec 417 12" inch 8 or 16 Ohms theyre like 100 / 150 a piece depending on the condition. You can always salvage this speaker if you plan to switch amp in the near future. They work really well with tube amps even eric johnson is using a similar speaker made by JBL on his clean sound mode also versatile on heavy metal. In reality.. (Lol) Rhandy Rhoads might be the founder of the line 6 sound (Marshall 1959 super lead, Rat Vintage pedal and altec 417 speakers). (in a good way!)...
