They do have an overheating problem that was supposedly addressed in the newer models. As long as you don't see smoke, its probably ok, but if its a VERY strong smell, take it in to a reputable tech and have them give it a once over.

I think i found what makes the smell, there is a
long strip of foam rubber that is below the power tubes i dont know if its fireproof or not, but seems to me that foam rubber and hot tubes are a bad idea? could be that the smell is melting foam rubber? Last edited by coldsteal2; 12-19-2007 at 11:50 PM. |

I was told the strip of foam rubber is heatproof silicon
so thats not it. Ive been runing mine wide open and its not even heating up, I would have your Bridge Rectifer checked by a tech |
