hi- I notice that a search on the forum for 1974x issues turns up zip!
They are a nice sounding amp- but have heavily documented PT/OT issues. How does a prospective used amp buyer (moi..!) have peace of mind his Marshall 1974x is reliable enough to take out on the road- given Marshall (to my knowledge) didn't initiate a total product recall to rectify the problem? This would seem to seriously compromise the used amp market (1974x) because if your warranty is void, a new x-fmr plus pwr tubes plus labour will add up to a large part of the used purchase price.
Am I missing something here?
