Strange issue with Class 5...no sound

I've had a Class 5 combo for 2 years with no issues. Last night I plugged into a Mesa cab and it sounded great. When I went back to the internal speaker I got nothing....no sound period. I plugged back into the cab and I had sound. I also have sound through the headphone jack.

Any ideas as to why I wouldn't have any sound through the internal speaker even though I still can use the external out and headphone out?

Try cleaning the speaker jack with contact cleaner. If that doesn't work, there's obviously something off between that jack and the speaker inside, so open it up and make sure that the speaker wires are still attached to it.

if it were a fuse, would the external out and headphone jack still work? sorry that just popped into my head.

I don't think so. The fuse will cut the amp power nothing will work since no energy will pass.

Make sure the switch was fully flipped over. Not to be a smartass but we have seen that problem before on here

That was the first thing I checked

I think I found the problem. A couple weeks ago I had the C5 plugged into an Egnater cab and I used a shorter speaker cable than I normally do. I pulled the C5 to move it and naturally it didn't go very far because I used the short cable.

I'm thinking I might have bent something inside the jack since I yanked on it pretty hard when trying to move it. I'm sure it is just that the connection inside the jack has been bent and if I can bend it back, maybe it will work.

I was reading some other people's issues online and this is a common issue in amps where the external out bypasses the internal speaker when in use.

Check inside, look around the jack for anything bent/broken/disconected...

The tab that connects touches the 1/4 jack on the external out is pretty bent. I tried bending it back, but no luck. My tech said he could replace the jack while I wait. I'll keep you guys informed.
