MA50C problem
Hey guys, I've had this amp for a little over a year now, its a nice amp and sounds great, however i keep having problems with it.
A few months back i posted a thread here about how the fuse kept blowing in the amp, after numerous different fuses the problem escalated and i ended up having to have all the tubes changed. I thought this was the end of the problem, and it has been for a few months, but only yesterday i was at band and the fuse went again. I sat and thought about everything i was doing and everything i had done. I have it plugged into a surge protector, i have the amps volume at about 9/10 o'clock, I've had fresh tubes put in, i've had it serviced twice- the first time at was some kind of internal fuse i believe and the second was when i had the tubes changed. i have it on the clean channel all the time because i use a pedal board. The only consistency i have noticed with the problems is that every time the fuse goes, it happens when i'm using the Z.Vex Fuzz Probe. Now the first time it did this i had the same pedal on but i had the fuzz on with a really light overdrive coming from a Line 6 POD XT Live, so then i thought maybe i had too much signal running through it, so i've changed my whole set up so i went and bought a load of separate pedals and now have a totally different rig. after that, I've never put on two distortions or fuzzes on at the same time because of what happened last time. This time it went, with the fuzz probe on, EHX Memory Boy Deluxe and a Behringer reverb pedal. It only ever blows with the Fuzz Probe on!! but surely an amplifier should be able to withstand a fuzz pedal? I'm just stumped for ideas, I just really need to know what the hell is the problem because so far nobody has had a clue. Any help would be greatly appreciated |

Re: MA50C problem
That sounds weird... Maybe there is something fishy with that specific pedal. Your amp should be able to take as many pedals as you want. If your tech already checked the amp I would have the pedal check out.
