Exclamation NAD, first tube amp! (YJM100 inside, pictureheavy)

Finally the beauty/beast has arrived! So far I love it, it does just about anything I want it to do. It's getting a bit late though, so I will let it rest until tomorrow. I figured I'd show off some pics though! (sorry for bad quality, iPhone ya know...)

Little group picture.^

And a hairy Yngwie on the owner's manual cover.

PS. I love the attenuator, it's just perfect for my needs.

Haha yeah I know, I'll have to sell it right away. I'll give you a good deal.

Seriously though, it's the best amp I've ever heard, and it's so versitile. I just love it, it's def a keeper.

I'd keep both. Use the MG for practice, and the YJM for those special starlight nights - the moon by the window, the tubes keeping you warm, and the les Paul singing the blues....

Wow. Just wow. Hehe, that may just be the last tube amp you'll ever need .

With its powerscaling, that YJM has to be the ultimate (so far) plexi reissue

Yep, that's exactly what I'm planning on doing. I can't wait to get my strat back home and plug it in though.

Yeah, I'm trying to be future proof...or more like trying to convince myself there is such a thing as "future proof".

Hi pred1993 how are you finding it for indoor use?
I'm waiting for mine delivering some time this month & am a bit weary of how low it'll actually go & what it'll sound like at living room levels lol?!

Yeah that was one of my worries as well. To give you a short answer; it's awesome. I don't normally play that quiet, but I had to test it out though; so I played on what I'd refer to as "library level" , and it still sounded really nice. Basically like a cranked marshall tone-wise but on a really low volume. It lived up to all my expectations though, and more.

I am sure you will enjoy your's just as much as I've enjoyed mine so far.

Cheers.

Congratulations. The YJM100 looks great. I've heard some soundclips elsewhere and so far the results were great.

I kinda wished that they had asked YJM to also design some speakers and a cabinet to go along with his new YJM100. I'd be interested in seeing what he would come up with (ooops, did I just give away Marshall's best keep secret for 2011?)

I like crunchifyable's comment on YJM being a kind of ultimate plexi reissue. I left Marshall a comment on facebook saying that when you consider all the modern technology incorporated into this plexi-style Marshall head, they could have easily (and more aptly) nicknamed this amp the true Vintage Modern.

Yeah it sure is an awesome amp. And yeah it's a shame they didn't let him design that, would have been nice to pair it up with that.

simple, take a 1960AX, cannibalize the greenbacks, throw them away and put T75's in the bloody cab...
