Thumbs up Custom Midi Switch for Mode4 (MF350) Amp Head

Hi all.

I got a hold of a Marshall Mode 4 amp head last year and gotta say, great amp. Best i've certainly used. Only thing that annoyed me a little bit was there was no midi interface so I could integrate it with my rack gear and Midi Foot Pedal a little better. I got in touch with Marshall and they didn't have any cables / modules that did what I wanted so I decided to have a go at building a midi switching unit which would allow me to switch the channels, reverb and over drive on the Mode 4 amp head from a Midi Foot Controller.

Well, I succeeded and have detailed the project at my website for which the link is located HERE.

Check it out and get in touch if you'd like to know anything else I may have accidentally left out of the article.

Cheers.
Phill.

Re: Custom Midi Switch for Mode4 (MF350) Amp Head

That amp gizmo looks pretty nifty. Bit of a price tag mind with the custom cable on top of that. still, I suppose if it's endorsed by Dweezil, it's gotta do the do the job right. :-)

Also, my site is back online now so if anyone is interested in knocking up a cheap version that does the job, instructions can be found at http://www.shellscripts.co.uk/index....idi-controller

It's a pay to play game. This much we know.

RJM builds quality products and has been around for some years now, and is recommended by and utilized by professional rig builders such as Rack Systems Inc, LA Sound Design, and Custom Audio Electronics-- for professional clients who's touring and session rigs, rely on reliability, and functionality, as well as hobbyists who have needs beyond the average meat and potatoes players.
