Marshall Cab Question
Alright, so I've checked the internet, and can't really find any information on these three cabs:
1961(A and B) 1965(A and B) 1966(A and B) I understand the 65 is a 4x10 while the other two are 2x12's. One thing I would like to know though, is what are the tonal differences between them and why Marshall only made them for such a short period of time. Were they trash? Or limited runs? Or maybe it was just time to move to the next model. |

The 1961 and 1966 2x12 cabs appeared in the late 80's and were made for the mini stack line. They also had G12-75's. Not a great sounding cab and kind of limited since it was for small head boxes that were also discontinued. If you really dig Marshalls, I recommend buying the History Of Marshall book from Doyle.
