DSL 100 Head Hissing and Popping

Hi guys,
I was at band practice tonight when my amp started hissing and popping and making other odd noises. I was switching all my pedals on/off and in and out of loops checking cables to make sure it wasn't them. It wasn't it even was making funny noises without a lead plugged into the input.

Any idea whats happened, I think i'm gunna try and find a local tech to take it to get looked at.

Cheers.
Cal

check the tubes and the fuse(s) while you're at it.

Contact the guys at Eurotubes if you need info. They're great for support and will do you right for tubes etc.

Maybe some prankster stuck a bad of Orville Reddenbocker's inside your amp?

Re: DSL 100 Head Hissing and Popping

Get a few spares at a local shop, decent ones that you might wind up using, especially pre amp tubes and replace them 1 at a time. Of course turn the amp off, replace the tube, turn it back on, warm it up, test, if it makes no difference try the next one etc. until you find the culprit. Usually the pre amp tubes are the ones to cause us grief.
