Valvestate 8100 "HUM-POP"
I have Valvestate 8100 - when i first push on the power button I get a loud "HUM-POP" then everything works fine for the rest of the night. As I purchased it on ebay just a few weeks ago I'm not sure if this is typical for this amp head. Any Comments out there.

Re: Valvestate 8100 "HUM-POP"
Do these come with a standby switch as well? I've not ever played through one but if it does, be sure to have it on standby for a few minutes after turning the power on, but like I said that's just a guess on my part.
The majority of my amps are valve and the 1 hybrid I do own does not have a standby.

Then it's probably normal. It takes a little bit for even the little tube(s) to warm up so don't play it right away. I usually let all of my amps warm up for a few minutes.
