Its a Celestion and its well made, reliable and powerful, but many find it's somewhat harsh and lacking in bass, particuarly on the OD channels which already have a strong bass de-emphasis. Good for a screaming lead tone but not so good for a warm crunch.
It gets better if its broken in for a while at high volume. Also, you can add an EQ box in the loop to boost bass which helps. But the V30 is alot better. John

Mine came with a Vintage 30 so i didnt know
what speaker came with them. I have good bass response with the Vintage 30 though. I put a Heritage G12H in mine to test it out it really sounded great, but they cost alot. i just borrowed one from my 1960 cab and put it back |

I have a cab with 4 V30's and it does seem to smooth out my LP's some. They sound more balanced through that cab.
