Jtm 60
Newbie here, just picked up a JTM 60 1 x 12 last night for $350. Really happy to finally have a real Marshall valve amp. I read some things about overheating and some other issues with JTM 60's. I played for quite a while last night and the thing didn't even get warm, the guy I bought it off of said that it had recently been serviced by an amp guru, maybe he lowered the bias when retubing. Either way sounded good and I am really happy.
Any JTM 60 comments or advice is appreciated...BTW I play mostly Gibson LP's if that matters. Thanks. |

Re: Jtm 60
great amp! never had a heat-problem
I like it a lot more with a les paul or PRS, than with a strat!

Re: Jtm 60
Actually mounted a fan in my JTM 612 as it got very hot when played hard. It plays very well with my Les Paul, Strat and Tele. Not to mention how it handles pedals and other effects very nicely!
