Dating a Marshall

Is there's a way to date a amp from it's serial number, is there's a site somewhere offering this info ?

Just got a DSL 100 and was wondering the date it was made!

Same as my combo, then. My combo's serial number starts with a V, so yeah, yours was manufactured in 1987.

I think this was a head/cab combo available with a matching 4X10'' or 2x12'' cab from what I'm gathering. I have a 4x8'' & 2x12''
