AVT275 problem
Hi everyone, I've just purchased my first Marshall; a Valvestate AVT275 combo. The amp works fine, sounds amazing. It's just an issue with the footswitch, where the Dfx for the overdrive channels are permanently on. Clicking the Dfx/OD button on the footswitch has no effect, the delay or whatever effect I'm using is always on. The only way to turn the effect off is to turn the dial on the amp down to zero. The Dfx for the clean channel works perfectly, it's just the OD channel.
Is this definately a problem with the footswitch, and not the amp? As the footswitch is much cheaper to replace if needs be. Thanks for any help with this. |

Re: AVT275 problem
I would just order a new footswitch, yea they
are a known issue with thier footswitches. I think this is the one, if not there are more there at the website I know they are kind of expensive, maybe there is a better deal on line somewhere or on eBay Here is one that says it for the 150 but maybe its the same footswitch?? its alot less http://www.guitarcenter.com/Marshall...76-i1134857.gc http://www1.shopzilla.com/12--Marshall_6_Way_Amp_Footswitch_-_cat_id--521905__keyword--marshall%20footswitch__prod_id--591319642 and one you can bid on at eBay http://cgi.ebay.com/MARSHALL-VALVEST...ayphotohosting |

Re: AVT275 problem
my friend had the same problem with his footswitch on the avt 150 head
all you need to do is change out the switches on the footswitch, they are simple momentary switches, the wiring is really easy and any local electronics store should be able to get hold of em for you, alternativley if you bought it new theres a three year marshall waranty dude make the most of it!!! glad you play an avt anyway mate they are excellent and once youve got this sorted shouldnt give you any trouble again!!! |
