Distorted clean on my tsl 100

I turned on my JCM tsl 100 half stack and smelled smoke or maybe electrical fire and since then my clean channel has been distorted. I switched out the pre-amp tubes but that didn't work. could it be my converter?

smoke means something shorted out
ii would get it looked at before its too late
