Re: 1977 MKII 50watt Info

Wow thats a very interesting looking 50 watt,
looks like it has either 6550's or KT66 power tubes
and has had a master volume added and looks
like an ohms switch?
Reminds me alot of the amps we used in the late 70's
and early 80's in the LA bands, which sounded sweet.

check out this link, the color is called "Fawn"
great amps

Thanks for the info! I have had it for about 6 years now and hav'nt really took the time to find out much about it. There 6550 plus I think the power supply was changed. The rest of the mods were there when I got it. It only does one thing but thats the thing I like. To hear it there's some live tracking on our my space. MySpace.com - Luna Down - JERSEY CITY, New Jersey - Rock / Punk / Garage - www.myspace.com/lunadown

Just an sm 57, but the my space tracks were cut live in our rehersal space, so there is bleed coming in from the following mics, Drums: d112,2-421's, u87 (OH),57-snare, Bass 421 plus a room mic TLM 193 and the vocal SM 58. Thanks for the comments!

We also used the following Gear: 2 manley dual mono block tube pre amps, 1 Daiking pre plus 3 api in a lunch box. No compression straight to Tascam da 78's. Mixed in pro tools and mastered by West Westside Music.

classic 57....I always amazed at how much you can get from a 57 for rock....just has that vibe....(Daiking pre plus 3...not familur..is that placed in a lunchbox...or did you also use an API moduals)

Re: 1977 MKII 50watt Info

The Daiking pre is a pre amp and eq made by Jim Daiking. We did have 3 api modules in the lunch box although I don't know the model #.
