I use Radial's Twin City. Run both or A or B. With drag control and ground lift. Comes in handy.

Another Radial Bigshot user here, great pedal, solves any ground issues you have, and is very affordable.

Re: ABY Switch for 2 Amps ?

+1 on the radial bigshot.

I always use a 2 amp setup, I get a huge sound with it and run each their own effects.

I got the I dea from listening to Ty Tabor from Kings X. His sound is always huge.

Shit guyz I was just going to get one so I can run my Monza and Night Train together with their own 112 cabs. This is cheap compared to what I was looking at. Looks like an effective switch box for just what I need at a great price(compared to other offerings).

I found that in its price range, it easily competes with others twice the cost.
and built like a tank!

Re: ABY Switch for 2 Amps ?

First of all ,thank you for all the responses on this .

I have a question for the Big Shot users .... correct me if I am misinformed.
A review that I read on the Big Shot , stated that there were no leds to tell you in what position you are in with the switch configuration.
Do you feel that this is an issue ? Or not something your really concerned with ?

Thanks in advance.
Paul

Re: ABY Switch for 2 Amps ?

sometimes in a on stage situation, it would be nice to have the LED's. My amps are usually set to the same level and it can be hard to tell which one is active, but I use them both all the time anyway so for me it doesn't hurt. usually one rig is more wet with effects than the other and delayed 500ms.

If one was clean and one OD it would be easy to tell which was on-
also in the studio I use this and the Led's wouldn't matter much.

Re: ABY Switch for 2 Amps ?

I like my RBS, built like a tank.
No LEDs, you just have to remember, but it was to keep cost down.
Other thing, if you do use the ISO/phase refersal channel B tone gets darker and you compensate your amps eq...no biggy

Led's would require a power source like a 9v battery or power supply also adding to the cost and inconvenience.

Re: ABY Switch for 2 Amps ?

The lack of LEDs is not an issue, I usually go with a clean/dirty setup or both dirty, so I wouldn't be switching anyway. Two dirty amps, like a VM and a 6100, just sounds huge!

Re: ABY Switch for 2 Amps ?

Just for the record I do wish the RBS had an LED. A clean/over drive set up would be no big deal but I usually overdrive a VTM and DSL. Very similar to a Master of Puppets tone but the resonance of the DSL really hits you in the chest.

I go back and forth between each amp a lot...when I fire everything up I usually have to leave one amp cut off. LED would be nice.

Re: ABY Switch for 2 Amps ?

Radial JX2 Switchbone is awesome, gives you some distortion and boost options on top of the ABY switcher plus all the LED's... even has an output for a tuner. Tried Lehle switcher and it turned one of my 4x12 speaker cabinets into a receiver, some horrible radio station kept coming through! Did not have this problem with the Switchbone.

Re: ABY Switch for 2 Amps ?

I am using the Lehle Dual to switch between my 2555SL and a Roost 100 Watt head, no problems so far, good thing it does not color my tone at all and solves humming issues when both amps are on, a bit dearer compared to the Radial . has LEDs !

Anyone ever tried a Loop-Master?
ABY Pedals - ABY Box (LED Version) Loop-Master True Bypass-Built Effect Loop Switchers, Pedals, and Loop Strips

They use an interesting wiring design to prevent ground loops.
