Re: Celestion Greenbacks speakers

slash deffinately used/uses vintage30's with
his jubilees and signature amps, but maybe
he uses the original greenback loaded vintage-
modern cabs along with the vm-heads...

Re: Celestion Greenbacks speakers

The Slash series JCM2555 cab comes loaded with Vintage 30's but previously to that he used 25 watters. Vintage 30's are actually 75 watts though. (Confusing i know!)

I use an original jcm2555 and after trying differrent speakers I preffer the g12h which are 30w speakers based on the greenback. They sound very similar but are slightly warmer with reduced harshness that you get from the 25 watters.

My suggestion is to try a few different cabs/speakers combos as its all subjective.

Re: Celestion Greenbacks speakers

both speakers are great....30s are a bit more forward (more upper mids) where the greenbacks are a fuller ( a little more balanced)

so there it is try...and enjoy
