Question Impedance select on Marshall 6101 combo

Hello everyone,

I have just bought a Marshall 6101 LM combo, and I have a little question as I am new to marshall amps.

I would Like to use an 8ohm cab, and also use the combos 8ohm speaker (so I can have the amp in stereo), so I was wondering where to put the impedance switch, on the 8ohm or 4ohm (16ohm) ?

I have understood that there is a switch inside the guts of the amp to chose between 4ohm and 16ohm, is this right ?

I thank you all in advance for your help.

Re: Impedance select on Marshall 6101 combo

Thanks alot. Yes that's what I am on now, but I'am wondering about if there is a switch inside the guts of the amp, that changes the 4ohm (16ohm) switch into 4 or 16ohms....
