Re: All new owners of 6100's...welcome to the dark side
You spent your money to mod your amp. I dont see that being any different than a pedal. I dont use pedals (yet). The MXR that is in my signature was bought for my DSL. I dont use it on my 6100. All I need is my 6100, LP, cable and my longfxukxnhair bad ass attitude. Thats enough to piss the people off in my surrounding area.

Re: All new owners of 6100's...welcome to the dark side
Twin, I have all of my pedals because I also double as the "KeyBoard Player/noisemaker" In my original band. If I were to go out and do a cover gig, I could take just the head and a guitar and rock. My board looks really huge, but I really don't have much. Here is the run down:
Peterson Strobe tuner EBMM Wah Eventide Pitchfactor MXR Dyna Comp (secret mod) Eventide Modfactor Fulltone catalyst Boost/distortion/Fuzz Blackstar HT-Dual 6100 In Eventide Timefactor in parallel loop And to control it all I have a behringer FCB1010 I built a loop switcher with a relay that I can switch the fulltone and blackstar in and out of the signal path with the relay output of the midi board. I also built my own custom power supply, as the wall warts were driving me insane, and no one offered one to do what I needed it to. Here is a pic: |

To each his own. When I got the 6100 home there was very lil tweaking that I needed to do to get it to my taste. I tweaked the TSL and DSL all the time.

Re: All new owners of 6100's...welcome to the dark side
I want a blue one with the Brass face, nothing else will do.... There's a blue one in Florida at GC for $1399.00. But the chances of me buying ANYTHING used, sight unseen from GC is about nil. Besides I could build a Metro Plexi for that with money left over.![]() TWIN

Re: All new owners of 6100's...welcome to the dark side
This might be hearsay to some of you but I was never impressed with Slash's tone overall, Sorry. Little thin/nasally for my tastes.
Just MY humblest opinion guys, don't call My momma things please.... I much prefer someone like Frank Marino's, or Early Jeff Beck's LP tones. ![]() TWIN

I dunno some folks feel Slash is some type of God, and are touchy. Now after reading my last post on the "Make up a lie" thread in the Backstage Area, it may be a different story.....![]() TWIN

Re: All new owners of 6100's...welcome to the dark side
Hey Gang,
I am new to the forum. Here is a pic of my 6100. I have owned several heads including JPM's, MKII, valve states, and a Park 50 watt head (as well as some other brands) and my 6100 is by far the best head I have ever owned! Keep em coming!
