1972 jmp 50w

How much is my old 1972 50w JMP worth??? It has a blown transformer and some road wear but it is all there...just curious because I get alot of people wondering why I dont sell it or fix it...truth is I never liked the sound and i have a few jcm 800s and 900s i like better...just curious...Thanks

Very big price difference if it's the PT or OT that's blown. Assuming you replaced the bad one with a top end modern replacement.

PT bad = $1,800-,2.200

OT bad = 1,300-1,700

700 - 800 bucks not replaced - maybe 1200 replaced

yeah, the first estimate sounds high, i agree way more with Doomhawk. i've seen good condition ones, unmodded, that go on ebay for way less than those first estimates.

This is a 1973 that is all PTP and works perfectly for $1500 and has no one bidding on it.(as of yet)

actually that was a bad example... it's got extra jacks in the back to indicate a mod, more than likely either a DI or effects loop mod.

a lot of people won't buy them for as much once they've been tinkered with like that.

It sold for $1600. Fan and all. Nice amp!

what do you think about this marshall: 1972 Marshall JMP 50 watt valve amp 3-days NO Reserve!! - eBay (item 110367109141 end time Mar-24-09 12:30:00 PDT)

It's sold now, but I was checking it offten. I think that It was sold for a good price and the new owner must be very lucky to have it.
