A little late....
Hey guys, I've posted here a handful of times, but haven't introduced myself, so here goes.....
Just a "bedroom warrior" that used to gig quite a bit, but now I do the recording thing in my spare room & spare time.....I'm actually a "minerman" where I work (I've worked as an underground coal miner for over 22 years now, & operate a remote controlled continuous miner), so my username is actually what I am.......Here'a pic of me & the new continuous miner the company I work for bought, before we took it underground (sorry for the crappy quality, but the pic was taken with my cell phone after work one night).... ![]() I don't own a Marshall now, but have had a couple in the past. I had a white 100w Jubilee head with 2 matching 4x12 cabs in the late 80's/early 90's, & owned a Valvestate head & cab in the late 90's..... I actually stopped playing for about 7 years or so (& sold everything I had, including all my guitars, amps, effects.....everything), but got back into it about 4 years ago. Glad I found this forum, as most of the other forums I'm a member of don't "get" what I'm looking for (info/help with my tone quest)..... I went the software route up until March of this year, & bought a Blackstar HT-5. I plan on buying another amp/cab/guitar or three in the future too.....While the ampsims can sound convincing for the most part, I still find that a real amp/cab/mic setup sounds a lot better...Here's a couple pics of the gear I'm using now (except the 1x12 cab, I don't have a pic of it yet....): ![]() ![]() Again, glad I found this forum, as there's a wealth of info here, & everyone seems to be pretty nice!!! |

Re: A little late....
Thanks everyone, I bought the little Marshall from my nephew, he'd been holding it for me for a couple months. I told him to sell it if he needed the $$$, but he kept it for me......
Another thing about my nephew, Josh, he gave my great-niece (his sister's teenage girl) a Gibson Chet Atkins SST yesterday too....gave, not sold.... Thanks again, love this forum!!! |

Re: A little late....
Thanks to everyone, great forum, not like some of the other forums I'm a member of that I won't mention, where rudeness/trash talk/being assholes in general is the norm....glad to be here!!!!!!
And I tried to edit my original post, but couldn't figure out how to do it.... Here's my Marshall (for now), with my 1x12 Greenback cab....... ![]() Thanks again to everyone for making this a great forum!!!!!

Re: A little late....
Hey minernman,
Glad you introduced yourself here. I listened to some of your clips on soundclick. That home recording hobby of yours is sounding pretty good.
