Has anyone had a problem with noise in the crunch channel only on a 30th anniversary

Please help my 30th annvi 6100 head has noise in the crunch channel only. Changed all the preamp tubes . also if you switch it to the crunch channel and then pull the connector off the switching module the noise is eliminated and the crunch channel works fine.but your are then stuck on the crunch channel? Help I do not want to bring it in to our local tech he has ripped me too many times. Thanks
