Old Man in Florida Says Hi!

Greetings,

I'm an active performing singing guitarist who's been fronting power trios since about 1969.

I used Marshall stacks mostly back then as well as the odd HiWatt stack or Orange stuff... predominately Marshall. By the end of the 70's / beginning of the 80's, the club scene (where I made my living) was starting to tell it's bands to 'turn down' or get out so I swung over to Fender Deluxe Reverbs and currently use a Fender 4x10 Blues Deville. The style of covers are in the vein of George Thorogood and Johnny Winter.

The 3 guitars which are in different tunings on stage with me always are a Gibson Firebird V, a Les Paul Standard and a Fender Telecaster. Oddly enough the huge 'biker'/Harley scene has brought back larger crowds into clubs and have created a lot more out door events here in Florida so it's time to get loud again!

I come to this forum to have my brain refreshed and hopefully start my golden years with a new set of ear plugs and a Marshall stack.

Jake.
