I play an Epiphone Sheraton II. I don't know how true the Korean models are, or honestly, if mine is Korean made. But I can tell you that the guitar is absolutely sound. I have played an American Standard Strat for about 6 years and had sworn that I would never switch to anything because of how versatile and great sounding that guitar is. Then I got a Sheraton II and I can't put it down. I picked up the Strat the other day and played it since I felt like I was neglecting it. I loved it all over again. Put it down, picked up the Sheraton and forgot about the Strat. So I guess I have 2 wonderful guitars, but the best one is undoubtedly the Sheraton. It's much rounder and the fretboard is wider (I'm pretty sure), so if you can handle that, you'll be fine and depending on the Korean construction, you should be happy with it. Just the fact that you're looking at it and thinking about it means you must have an interest in that style of guitar. So it's differences shouldn't put you off.

Hope my ramblings helped you some.
