Any love for the Les Paul Standard Double Cutaway?
Rarely see anyone play em. Seem to go cheap on the used market.
Any good?

Yes they are good. It is a Les Paul with easier upper fret access. The thing with these is that they don't look like a Les Paul so guys shy away from them.

It's a limited run of 50 guitars made for a Montreal dealer in 1980.

Re: Any love for the Les Paul Standard Double Cutaway?
There's one at a local shop for $1,300. I've been gassing over it but I don't think I'd like it. I'm too used to a full set of volume and tone knobs. A lot of times when I use my LP I keep the toggle in the middle position and use the volume and tone controls to get the sound I want. I'd really miss being able to roll the tone off on just the bridge pickup.

Re: Any love for the Les Paul Standard Double Cutaway?
Well, this really isn't a Les Paul DC, but, I like it. It's a (1980-82?) Epiphone Genesis. I bought it for a $100.00 years ago. I had it refretted with Dunlop tall jumbo fret wire. It sounds pretty damn nice. The only problem is, it is F@#king heavy. It weighs around ten and a half pounds.
