Anyone play a Gibson ES 339?

Just curious. I have heard people say they are closer to a LP rather than a 335.

I will be most likely opting for a Les Paul in a few weeks as my 'Gibson' guitar. But may also be open to the 339/336 or even an SG if the right one came along with the right weight and balance.

Every time I see Warren Haynes with his NR Firebird I want one of those as well, having said that it's most likely Warren's playing that makes me want one...
Like if the dude from Alterbridge was rockin' one I'd be like 'worst guitar ever...'

So basically you're considering at least 5 different Gibson guitars at the moment?

At least 5... something in the Gibson ballpark.

Have you played a 339?

No, but they look like nice guitars. I just thought it was kind of funny that you asked about the 339, and then rattled off like 4 others haha.

GAS = FUN

I am always deeply suspicious of my guitar playing friends who don't suffer GAS.
I tell myself it's part of being a well rounded player... The endless search for tone.

I'd like to know this, too. I'd like to pick me up an Epiphone ES-339 since a full-sized ES-335 would look awkward on my short body.
