they are all quality guitars but if it was me and those choices i would get the shecter....the best thing to do is go play them if you can and decide which one fits you best. dont forget about these..they are gettin some good reviews and are 24 frets:

Re: guitar that will get u bang for your buck
Go try the Deluxe Roadhouse Stratocaster...it's right at that price range.
It's a mexican strat w/ texas special pickups and a good sized neck. I've been gassin' for one myself

Re: guitar that will get u bang for your buck
Deluxe Roadhouse strat is cool but its only 21 frets im looking for 24s and already have 2 fender strats thanx any ways
![]() how bout this im kinda not sure about active pickups cuz dont wanna play or jam then next thing you know the battery rans out so check this 2 which one would be better: ![]() its my first time hearing Dirty Fingers P/U how is it compared to the EMGs - I know the EMGs are active has its own power but is there a big difference in sound, sustain and attack or slight diff? Ive read that the Dirty Fingers are better than the Burst Buckers? EMG on top Dirty Fingers hums on bottom. |

Just get in the habit if you don't already of unplugging from your guitar when your finished playing and you'll be fine. Plugging in is what "turns on" the pickups i.e. uses battery life. |

Re: guitar that will get u bang for your buck
I would look for a used american standrad tele....
I like the alder (3 tone) myself but, a lot of people swear by the swamp ash ones.....and I find that my tele is a great work hourse...it can play blues and rock easily...it works fine for jazz....I do noy really play metal so I do not know how well it would work in that genre but, I suspect it could...and of course it can play country stuff excellently also, I have found that yamaha has made some great guitars in the past...I have no idea what they are up to now...I can not remeber what specfic model is what I though to be the best inexpensive guitar in the world but, if it comes to me I will poast it.... (just to throw it out there my PRS swamp ash speacial is the best workhourse guitar I have ever played but, they are expensive...not for a PRS though)

Re: guitar that will get u bang for your buck
You should really take a look at LTD guitars. I own a few ESP and LTD and I'll tell you that they are some of the better playing mid priced guitars ever. The fit and finish is fantastic and they are pretty much set up right out of the box. I never have fear when ordering online that the guitar won't play well.
If you like gibson lps, you will love the LTD EC1000. My 2 cents. http:// The ESP Guitar Company :: LTD Deluxe Guitars - EC-1000 Series

Re: guitar that will get u bang for your buck
Epi Dot 335 Deluxe. Through clean channel, bright, smooth tones for bluesy, jazz stuff. And for getting dirty, big fat heavy sound, good sustain for a semi! But, best thing...under $400.00 for a guitar that literally needs no maint.
