It's and incredible sounding and very reliable amp. This one has hardly been used and is like new except for a minor tolex scratch on the top that happened when I removed it from the box after I bought it... Marshall uses big staples to fasten their carboard boxes.

This amp sells for $2799 new, but you can get this one here for a lot less.

Where the picture says repaired is where that problem spot is repaired. The tolex is a little ripped around the area but the cab is very stable. This pic is AFTER the repair. It looks much nicer in person.
Overall it's a great amp that could easily handle concert volumes without problem. Nice chunky sound. Only reason I'm selling is cause I upgraded. Also Available locally. This is the same amp favored by Slash & Joe Bonamassa. 50 watt head with a half power switch on it, switchable lead channel with a push/pull rhythm clip feature. Recently serviced, has new tubes and filter caps. I’ve had this amp for about 8 years and it sounds great. Wish I could afford to keep it. The handle is either missing the end caps or it is an aftermarket handle. I’m also pretty sure that the rear cover isn’t original (never used it anyway). Includes power cord and footswitch. $1600
The 4 X 12 is a JCM 800 Lead 1960 Cabinet that is loaded with Celestion G12c-30’s Black grille cloth - $400
Both pieces are used and have minor scuffs and scratches but are in good condition. Will sell separately.

Feeling out if there is any interest in this for the time being. This is a rare Marshall Major 200w tube amp. Date code in the s/n is "A" meaning 1969/1970 the first year for the date code system. This is a "LEAD 1967" model. For its age it is in amazing condition, couple of small tears and marks in the tolex and some paint marks on the side of the cabinet. I have many photos of everything.
100% stock and 98% original. The amp was completly gone over by an amp tech in July '09. One output tube socket was replaced, one fuse holder, and a three prong power cord was added for stability(still have all the originals). Other than that every other piece is original as the amp came from England. Has 3 RCA and 1 GE 6550's and matching BRIMAR 'made in england' preamp tubes, all circa 1970/71.
This one being completely un-modified gives the true beautiful clean sound of these amps. They are far different from the typical 'plexi' marshall type amp sound.
