Re: Alice Cooper

That sounds awesome! I am a big fan of both of those guys! My favorite Alice song is House of Fire, I like the rythm of it. Ace is incredible too and I loved his solo albums. I bet it was a great time with good music.

Re: Alice Cooper

Cooper is my all time favorite. I have seen EVERY tour since "Love it to Death" in 1970. I have probably been to at least 25 Cooper shows. Saw him last year also. Great band. I really liked the twin guitars of Mike Bruce and Glen Buxton on the first few albums. They really knew how to compliment each other. After that it was Dick Wagner's duties on guitar. He was great also. After Wagner it was a blur of "young guns" playing for him. The only 2 shows I didn't care for was "Alice Cooper's Army" and a greatest hits show with, I can't remember his name, the muscle bound guitarist (who wasn't that good or didn't really fit the Cooper style of songs). But that was almost 20 years ago. Alice is the man.

Was Eric Singer playing drums for him? He does double duty for Alice and Kiss.

Also, If anyone is just now getting into Cooper it is a must that you go out, today, and buy the "Killer" CD. That is a good start. Then report back here and tell us what you think.

Also a trivia bit of info. He sets his concerts up around his favorite golf courses in the States so he can play golf in the day and do his shows at night. What a life.

Re: Alice Cooper

I strongly second the purchase of "Killer".

I wish I had never heard it and could go hear it today for the first time! (Of course, I
leaned on it pretty heavily when I was a kid, so....)

Re: Alice Cooper

I was a huge fan of Alice in the seventies. When he had Steve Hunter and Dick Wagner with him, the guitar part of the show was fantastic. He always hired the best musicians, even though he always talks more about showmanship than music.
