Demos of my Custom builts.

A couple of the guys wanted to hear some bites of the self builds I do so here.

You can laugh at the playing on all the bites except Hvn&Hell, that was my 14 year old Daughter and she tried.

They are all clones that I built my self. Recorded raw no pedals or much mix in so you can hear the amps on their own.

Free File Hosting Made Simple - MediaFire

Sorry guys had to host it on Mediafire, so there is a bunch of pop-ups.

Re: Demos of my Custom builts.

Digging the 1987 and the JTM, those sound great.

That little lick on the 1987 clip made me think I was about to hear "Feelin' Free" by the Charlie Daniels band.

Did you use any kind of kit to build those or did you go out and grab all you're own parts and everything? I'm really impressed

Most people like the 1987 the most; the JTM is real old school sounding. Not too many takers on the MiniMajor, ya kinda have to be an avid Blackmore fan for that; but it’s loud as HELL!

I don’t build from kits I get my own parts and a Guy in Texas makes my TAG Boards. The small chassis’ I bend and punch myself, they are all aluminum. I use the original schematics or copies of Amps I have worked on. The 1987 is a copy of my Real 1968 Model 1987 which has been mothballed for now to preserve it. It’s a lot of fun and I get the amps I really want, not an RI (which are ok, but they don’t sound the same) Thank you for all the positives!

Which 1987 clip were you talking about, the clean one?

These are all custom built amps that I have done. There is a JTM 45 combo clone with a real RS tranny. A clone of my original 1968 Model 1987. And my MiniMajor (100 watt Vers half power) No toys just all plugged straight in so you can here the amp it self. You can see the pics of them at my Album if you like?

Hi Javier,

I only do the customs for a very few of my customers and for myself. And they would be too over-priced to sell to the general public, you could get an original and have rebuilt for less.

Major

I love the JTM45 clip. Great tone. One day I will have squirreled enough to buy the Metro jtm 45 kit. One of the best Marshall sounds IMO.

What does your daughter play? We've just got ours started with a small Marshall combo and an Explorer copy.

Thanks for all the positives Mate! By all mean try the Metro JTM45 its a nice kit and I believe they use a Marstran OT which is excellent repro of the RS OT. And it is quite the ol' classic Marshall sound got to love it.

Well we started my Daughter off with an SG copy and she got a bit spoiled amp wise she has a Mesa Boogie Simul Class MKIII combo, but only cause Dad can repair them and we only payed $100 US for it trashed; I personally don't like Mesa boogies myself. Now she has a 1977 SG wine colored with the black baby Humbuckers. She likes to sneak down stairs and fire up the Old Man's 50 watt, when she thinks I'm not listening! LOL.

Re: Demos of my Custom builts.

I'm diggin the 1987 too, sounds awesome. Is it non-master volume? If so, how'd you get the dirt, just cranked, or did you use an attenuator. That's some high gain, man.

Hi Adwex,

I appreciate the input! Yes it is a non-MV model 1987. Attenuator is no no in our house! It's just cranked through 2 X 12" cab with G12T-75's and I mean it's dimed.
