Bohemian Rhapsody Solo

Whilst waiting for my Kramer to arrive I decided to record and upload a cover of one of my favourite all time solo's! Not 100% as I like to add my own touch and feel and a bit outta sync thanks to YouTube. Tell me what you think

Awesome man, you nailed it in my book! I really like that solo, Brian May is really unique and thoughtful with his note choices...

Cheers! The tone was from Pod Farm and came out sounding better than I thought

Re: Bohemian Rhapsody Solo

Very nice playing....I also took a stab at it with my Eric Johnson Signature Strat and TSL 100:

Bohemian Rhapsody (excerpt) Marshall TSL 100 & Vintage Modern .wmv - YouTube

I think Brian May has played some phenomenal solos in his career.... I find that his very tasteful note choices...... everything is masterfully phrased and performed....and I would be remiss if I did not mention that he has excellent tone.

Thanks for listening! I really appreciate it.
My settings are as follows:

Lead channel ( settings as if looking at a clock)
Deep Switch - in
Presence - 10:00
Reverb - off
Bass - 10:00
Mid -3:00
Treble - Noon
Volume -9:30 to 11:30 depending on venue
Gain -3:00
Tone Shift - in

I use single coils (slightly hotter vintage output but vintage style....Eric Johnson pickups or HS2, HS3 and HS4, and I also use Hot Rails) and my stage volume is not overly loud.....if I can get away with it on a bigger stage I would have the volume set at noon to 1:30 and roll back the gain a bit. As it is these days for bar cover bands I usually have to play at a moderate level on stages for rooms that accommodate 300 to 1500 people. I usually only play various Fender Strats or my tele. Depending on the strat the amp sounds a bit different. In addition to the Eric Johnson Signature Strats I also use a Malmsteen Signature Strat. I will post a clip of that as well, kind of a Gambale type thing......thanks again...I really liked your tone and playing.
Cheers mate
