If I were you I wouldn't leave, but stay and look out for the newbies that wonder onto the site. As I stated before, this is everyones site including the 13 year old kid that wants to know how to sound like Slash (why would they come back here after being dogpiled by everyone, including 40 year old men)! Those that clown these kids seem to think that they are Mods or owners of the site, or that these kids aren't part of the "group". Shame on them!

Re: Peace out for while, Later!
After that last fracas, I think everything has smoothed out a little. I do feel sorry for anyone who has had a thread trampled on. And yes, there are 13 year-old members who actually are looking for advice on getting Slash's tone.

Re: Peace out for while, Later!
Maybe I'll just hang around in the TSL tribe fro a while and try to drum up some good vibes for us over there.
Mainly what gets on my nerves is when people come and say "I was gonna get a TSL but it seems like they have more issues then the DSL and it's better... bla bla bla..." When really it's all about preference and they might have liked the TSL, but didn't even give it a chance. I know all the misinformation dished out on here about TSLs and that's what I get ticked over. Hell, I can't even suggest _________ (insert any Marshall type amp) to someone who wants a Marshall without hearing "this amp is better!" |

Re: Peace out for while, Later!
We've seen a lot of this lately. And FWIW, I really dug the TSL's. Some members can be polarizing about amps; more power to them as far as being satisfied with their tone. What really matters is that we're all playin' Marshall here, and they all rock.
If you feel the need to go, nobody will stop you obviously, but don't be a total stranger. It takes all of us to make the Marshall Forum.

It's like I told El Jeffe a few weeks ago... Normally I don't like 900 DRs but his tone is sick! I wish it could be more like that. |

Opps! Sorry, it's just that when I saw that I felt better knowing that other people think about these things too!

Re: Peace out for while, Later!
Dude I'll back up any amp anytime If the tone is there! and thank you landshark for the complement! What makes me pissed are the cork sniffers on here that have never even stood in the same room with a cranked 900, TSL, or DSL let alone played through one, and have the nerve to put them down! I can say I don't like the DSL cause I have played through one I DON"T LIKE THEM. I don't like how they respond under my hands! I love the TSL It's a great amp under MY hands it responds well just like a 900, a 800 and the JMP's. Going back beyond that I have never played through any of those heads so I have nothing to say about them and never will, it's NOT MY PLACE! So, cork sniffers, until you have owned or have played AT STAGE VOL (and not in your basement or your bedroom at home) any other amp but a relic, stop being dicks to us and saying that we don't know what tone is cause in the big picture you guys are the minority!
sorry for the rant.......

Re: Peace out for while, Later!
I'll back that up El Jeffe!
Its not just the DSL guys either... I know by comparison the 900 guys take probably the most crap when its undeserved. Its just been beat too far into the ground around here. |

Re: Peace out for while, Later!
I always saw the 900 as an 800 with a built-in tube screamer or something like that. What's the big deal? Never tried a 900 myself but in my head it's an 800 with a boost. Did I miss something?

Re: Peace out for while, Later!
And that was the hole point of my 20 years thread to bring the 900's back to the family where it belongs.

Guys, it's the internet. The hate here is pretty subdued compared to a lot of forums.

Re: Peace out for while, Later!
We all should recite this, if indeed, we feel this way and believe it:
I love my amp. It does what I want it to. I like your amp and the sound it you get out of it. If you do not like my amp, that is a matter of your own opinion. I do not decide which amp I should play based on your opinion of how poor my amp is.

Re: Peace out for while, Later!
Yeah but it is going to have to wait, 'cause in a few days I'm blowing a grand and three Franklin's on a Gibby, and it's time to get my driver's license, that's horribly expensive in Sweden. And next summer I'm going to California to see my nephew (he hasn't been born yet, will be in November), and right after I'm headed for Canada to visit a very special person
![]() No, not carnada or slashrapper5000. But all in due time... one day, I will own one! ...again.

Re: Peace out for while, Later!
I am always surprised when people are unhappy with the forum as with time, reading enough posts we learn whose opinions are worthless, valued, biased. We also get a bit of the personalities who is reasonable, or a pain the arse to everyone.
In time you are only affected if there is unbridled criticism from one of those you respect the others you should ignore or ridicule - but not get pissed off and leave. There are very few problem people on here compared to many public forums, made even more remarkable when so much expression is lost in text, the timezone and national differences. I worked with worse people in my life but you don't just up sticks and clear your desk (I did fire one though - oops! he he) Peace. Relax. Breathe.
