celestion g12... ?

can any one give me info on this celestion from 1978 combo

It's a G12-80 from '78.

Of the few G12-80's I've played, I've always liked them. They have a full tone. Very nice bass response. They don't sound like a Greenback as they are not quite as warm.

Also, the G12-80 is the predecessor to the Classic Lead 80. Some people think this speaker was the basis for the Mesa MC90.

What's the difference between a G12 80 and the G12H 80? What magnet does the first one have and what difference does it make?
