The coolest vintage 4x12 ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Cabinet maker Kerry Wright has made the most authentic early 60's 4x12 I have ever seen. Blues Breaker grill cloth, handles, tolex, piping. Kerry's workmanship is breathtaking. It is as if a time machine dropped a new 60's Marshall cab in the shop. Eric Collins painstakingly duplicated the original grill cloth thread by thread. Sound wise the cloth smooths out the highs of the cab perfectly. Making is warm and full. EC Collins' TRUE "BLUESBREAKER-PINSTRIPE".

very nice.

ive seen a few very accurate repro cabs knocking about. not sure what impact they are gonna have on the vintage market. they will surely raise peoples suspisions when the cleaner cabs come up for sale.

How does it sound? It does look awesome.
I'm looking for a 'B' cab to sit under my AHW. I've got the speakers laying around, but are looking for an empty cab.
If anyone knows some well priced empty vintage replicas in Australia , please let me know.

Re: The coolest vintage 4x12 ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That pinstripe looks very close to the original.
I have ordered a 4x12" and a 2x12" pinstripe from Eric Collins,
and I'm gonna get them next week.
The 4x12" is for my '66 cab, and the 2x12" is for an emty Bluesbreaker box,
that have two early '66 speakers waiting.

Re: The coolest vintage 4x12 ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I sent him an e-mail asking about pricing and this is the real deal, but it's expensive!

Quote:
Jaek,

Thank you for your interest. I quote everyone the exact same prices, so as to be totally consistent.

I sell the 4x12 pieces on ebay for $510 each (plus $20 shipping):
http://cgi.ebay.com/TRUE-BLUESBREAKE...d=p3286.c0.m14

However, that costs me about $60 in fees by doing so. Therefore, it is $60 less when purchased directly:
Standard 4x12s $450 (Germino upcharge is $400 because $50 worth of BW won't be used)
Germino Amplification
"Tall bottom" 4x12s $500
2x12's for $350
1x12's for $250
Plus shipping ($20 USA, $35 Intl).

I do offer a considerable discount on multiple piece orders:
TWO 4x12s - one standard, one "tall bottom" - for $850 ($425 each)
TWO standard 4x12s for $800 ($400 each)
THREE standard 4x12s for $1000 ($333 each) Add $50 to make 1 of the 3 a "tall bottom"
THREE 2x12s for $850 ($283 each)

This may seem expensive, but it is really the best I can do, as each piece is an entirely handmade process, which takes five hours to produce with $100 per-piece in materials costs.

If you email me your mailing address, I'll ship a FREE sample swatch out to you ASAP!

Also, I have attached two photos from a collector in Sweden, who used my cloth to restore his gutted "tall bottom" stack. The original "Pinstripe" ripped and was discarded in the late-70s and the stack was subsequently parted out (He has two "tall bottom" cabs and I think he restored the other one, because the handles are different from the finished stack). He just completed it a couple of weeks ago and I think he may have even re-tolexed the cabs from the looks of things. I think it's great to see a long-forgotten derelict stack, finally restored and making music again after all these years.

Best regards,
Eric
