Greenbacks on the way! Trying 'X' pattern w/G12T-75s
Just bought a used, new-condition pair of Greenbacks over at TheGearPage!
![]() Really looking forward to trying these in an 'X' pattern in my 1960A cab, with the stock G12T-75s, rocking my 2204. Or maybe try putting the Greens on top and the 75s on the bottom... will that emphasize the Greens, then? Anyone else use this combo now or in the past? Did you 'X' it, or go with a 2-top/2-bottom approach? I'm hoping I can get a nice mix of hard rock crunch and slam (from the 75s) and creamy, woody goodness from the Greens. I actually dig the 75s right now, for the most part, but I'm a lower/middle-mids freak and I can feel the lack of them with the 75s, and am curious to hear what a mid-friendly combo-pattern will do. Although, I do have a feeling that I may end up switching the whole thing over to Greenbacks down the road...
