Connecting full stack to JVM410h

Hi, newby here and a newby to Marshall stacks (Old Bluesbreaker user).

Is anyone familier with how I should correctly connect my two 4x12 1960 Vinatge cabs to my JVM410H?

There is no impedence switch on the back of the amp, only 5 inputs.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Run the speaker cable into the right input of your cabs and use the middle outputs of your head. The outputs are telling you you can use 1 8 ohm cab or 2 16 ohm cabs. Well the right mono input of your cab is 16 ohms, so that is what you need to do. Assuming your cabs are the same.

HI thanks for your reply, its very much appreciated.

I'm running two 1960 Vinatge cabs. The pic attached is how they are connected to the amp. Is this what you are saying?

Thanks

Re: Connecting full stack to JVM410h

you need to put the blue line into the jack over the 1X4ohm and the red line into the jack under the 2X8ohm. u r plugged into the right inputs on the cabs but make sure u move the switch to mono.

Thanks for your reply. Your answer is different to ZoomZilla's so I am a bit confused now!

btw, i used Powerpoint to create the diagram and then saved the slide as a jpg.

Re: Connecting full stack to JVM410h

Cool diagram. You just need to look at your outputs and inputs to see what they are telling you. The outputs in the center says 1x8 or 2x16. It is saying that if you wanted to hook up 2 16 ohm cabs, which is basically the right mono input if your cab, If you were to run one 8 ohm cab, you would use the same output, but just use one cable. Good luck man, you should have it hooked up correctly now.

Question Re: Connecting full stack to JVM410h

Sorry for the somewhat silly question, but I have to make sure before I blow something up: for connecting my JVM410H to my 1960A cab, I just have to put the speaker on mono and make a direct connection between the 16 Ohm plugs on the head & cab?

Thanks in advance o wise Marshallmen/women.

Anyone?
I've tried search and using common sense but both have failed me so far.

Re: Connecting full stack to JVM410h

Hello Coolguy. If you are just hooking up 1 speaker, you would use the output that says 1x16 ohm on the head (the one by itself in the first post by warreng)
You plug it in on the cabinet on the same place, in the 16ohm input and make sure it is set to mono.

Re: Connecting full stack to JVM410h

Thank you for your reply.
Now I won't have to worry about my amp blowing up on my first try.

It's on its way from the UK and should be here by next week.
My very first full cab setup, always used combos before.
