Speaker help

Hi, Just bought a 2nd hand Jcm2000dsl100. Does anyone know if I can hook up 2x12 8ohm Vintage Celestions to it? 8 OHM @ 125 WATTS RMS. The model is G12H-100. Just don't want to damage the Head so want to be sure they are compatible. thx!

Re: Speaker help

Not sure if I fully understand your question, but as long as you use the 8 ohm output into an 8 ohm cab, the head will be fine.

Re: Speaker help

you need to match the amp impedance to how your speakers are wired. if the speakers are wired in series than you have to add the load together so you would have a 16 ohm load on the amp. set the impedence switch to 16 ohms. if the speakers are wired parallel then the load is divided between the two speakers so you would have a 4ohm load on the amp. set the impedance switch to 4 ohms
