Speaker Wiring Practicality?
Hey this may seem like a noob question
but what are the basic practical differences between series and parallel wiring in speaker cabinets? I've seen many threads on how to do both but i havn't been able to find anything on the main tonality and sound differences between them Thanks!

Re: Speaker Wiring Practicality?
Tone difference? There is none. Different wiring methods will result in different impedances. This has nothing to do with tone.
Furthermore, having your amp set to different impedances, like selecting to run a cab at 4ohms instead of 16ohms will have zero effect on tone contrary to what some may say. If you aren't sure what ohms and impedance matching is, you should read up on it because you can seriously damage your amplifier by not following the necessary procedure to make your amp function correctly. You can check this thread for more info on ohms Amp problems? Ohm questions? Amp blowing up for no reason, READ ME! You can check this link to see which wiring diagram will yield which impedance.
