Ncd - vbc 412

Ever since I started using VBA 400 heads, I have been very curious about the VBC 412 cabs, but I didn't want to drop a grand without having heard one first, so I've waited. After playing through a pair of them at Sweden Rock in June, I was very impressed, so I decided to pull the trigger... around the same time, I found a used one for sale on Kijiji - lucky me! I picked it up today, and it's in extremely good shape. According to the serial number, it's from 2010, so it's pretty new, and I got a KILLER deal on it! The guy I bought it off of demo'ed it (to show that it was in proper working order) with his own VBA 400, and it sounds awesome!! I brought it home, and plugged one of my VBA 400s into it, and jammed away. Yep, sounds awesome!!

Here are some photos:

Cheers!

Nice! Good score...

What do they use in those, Eminence speakers? How about a inside shot sometime?

No idea... and I'm not sure how to even get inside the cab. There are no screws on the back, and it isn't obvious if the grill comes off the front (although, I assume it does, since there are no screws on the back).

Cheers!

Yeah, I hate that, too. If you pull too hard and mess up something, then shitola! Do the speakers look to be front loaded?

I don't know. I'll have to take a closer look when I get home. I'm curious, too, heheh... REALLY curious about what speakers are loaded in it. There's very little info about these cabs (or the whole VBA series, for that matter) out there.

Cheers!

You might have to pull a handle out and use a flashlight...

Pulled a handle, but the damping material in the cab covers the hole entirely, so I couldn't see the speakers...

Cheers!

Ah well, I have a feeling you'll get to the bottom of this, sometime!

I've heard that they're 100W Eminence speakers built to Marshall's specs, but I'd like to get confirmation of that, and also know what model they're based on. Judging by the weight, they're not Neo magnet types, so that would rule out the Basslites, Kappalites, Deltalites, etc...

Cheers!
