Smile Newbie: how to connect triple rectifier to randall cab

hey guys.. I'm really new to this... i can't seem to make my setup work
i have a multi-watt triple rectifier that runs on 150w/50w and a Randall 300W RA412-XC cabinet.. i have these 5 outputs on the back of the triple recto..(16Ω-8Ω-8Ω-4Ω-4Ω) and on the back of the Cabinet i have (two 4Ω inputs) when cabinet switch is on stereo and (one 8Ω Input) when switch is on mono. Note: when switch is on mono the right 4Ω input turns into a 8Ω input..

so how exactly do i connect these two together.. i was very excited today cuz i received my triple recto with platinum voodoo mod but can get it to work !!! please help !!!

Switch to mono (8ohms). Then connect the 8ohms output to the 8ohms input of the cab. Im pretty sure that will do it . You can wait for others to confirm though, have fun!!

yeah mono, first 8ohm on the head to the 8ohm on the cab. wattage has no bearing for this but 150 will be slightly louder and have a lot more clean headroom, tightness and low end.
use a speaker cable (unshielded).
good to go.

And if you were experimenting with different hook ups, you could have already damaged it. They the correct cable and if that doesn't work you may have to take it to a tech. Unless there is something else on this amp I don't know about.

i remember i connected my boss gt-10 pedal to the speaker when i got it.. using 1 or 2 instrument cables.. could that have damaged the speakers by any chance ?! if so,, do you know it the wires get fried or if the speakers get blown ?! cuz if its the wires i can maybe repair it myself..

Possibly, yes but I highly doubt thats the problem.

Be sure the effects loop levels are up on your head. If it is set to 0 and you have the loop active (switch on the back of the head) you will limit the master output. Turn the send and mix levels to 12:00
